On arrival at the farm we were introduced to our tour guide. His name is Francois.
We were then taken to a big room and Francois told us a all the rules of the farm. |
This is a long haired guinea pig. Uncle Francois let us feel his lovely long hair. |
Here we really had some fun! We were allowed in amongst the rabbits. As you can see we tried to catch the rabbits, but they are a little bit too fast for us |

The Mountain Tortoise.
We learned that South Africa has a large species of tortoise |
Here was a small tortoise, we were allowed to feel his shell. When Francoise put the tortoise down, he ran away very fast |
The Spitting Lama.
Carefull not to agrivate this animal. If the spitting lama gets upset, he rolls up food from his stomach, stands on his heind leggs and spits the food at you. |
Here is a typical farm bull. They always seem to be grazing |
The Ostritch. Francois pointed out how attractive the male species are.
A note of caution is that ostriches can kick hard with their big toes. If ever you find yourself in this predicament then the best is to lie on your stomach. |
A few lonely strollers |
...a few photo's of some more animals found on the farm... |
